IDENTiTY

Educational card game for students about exploring stereotypes and prejudices within society.

IDENTiTY is an educational card game developed for Integration Centre Prague. This creation was designed to immerse elementary and high school students in the depths of intercultural learning, exploring stereotypes and prejudices within society, and to foster critical thinking. As a lead edugame designer and methodologist, I have been working on the project for ICP, based on their need to create a more interactive, dynamic learning experience. Since 2024, ICP’s trainers have been using the game, coupled with a comprehensive methodology, as an incremental part of their workshops – mainly with students aged 14-19 in Czech schools.

Creating a tool that actively engages and challenges students to think deeply about societal issues has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. I believe it has made a meaningful contribution to an educational approach where every game played is a step toward a more understanding and inclusive society.

Czech National Agency for International Education and Research

Creative design, delivery and evaluation of training programs.

From 2019 to 2024, I was a member of a team of trainers at Czech Centre for International Cooperation in Education. My role involved the creative design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs that prepared young people and educators for the dynamic world of international education. As a trainer, I crafted and facilitated interactive workshops and trainings covering a spectrum of vital topics like learning design, project management, youth empowerment, and intercultural learning.

Working with one of the most influential organisations in the Czech educational field provided me with a unique vantage point to observe and contribute to strategic, long-term educational projects. This role has also honed my ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt my methods to suit diverse target groups: from international volunteers to teachers, from youth workers to NGO executives.

Gamifying Education

International initiative designed to integrate game-based learning.

Gamifying Education was an international initiative designed to integrate game-based learning into educational institutions. By refining and sharing effective game-based learning methods, we aimed to enhance the educational experience for educators and students alike. As a lead trainer, game designer, and strategist, I coordinated the whole initiative to develop engaging learning tools and train educators in their application during several intense training activities. The initiative successfully produced three comprehensive manuals, 15 detailed activity outlines, and a series of game sets impacting over 600 participants in Czechia, Estonia, Spain, and Romania through various events and training sessions. Thanks to our motivated participants, the innovations made their way into schools and organisations where they continue to change the way young people learn. Playversity.co emerged as a key resource hub, extending the project's reach and influence. On a qualitative level, educators reported a notable increase in student engagement and a deeper understanding of complex topics, reflecting the transformative power of game-based learning on participants' educational experiences.

Witnessing firsthand the shift towards more dynamic and engaged learning environments has reinforced my commitment to innovation and playfulness in education.

Facilitation is a skill that can make difficult meetings a lot easier. My approach involves active engagement, effective group dynamics management, and fostering a collaborative environment for consensus-building.

Drawing from experience in creative problem-solving, gamified and design thinking, and organisational development, my focus is on providing actionable insights and innovative solutions.

Have a break and write your story. A custom-designed Dungeons and Dragons session for small teams of up to 3 players, this experience is crafted to boost creativity and imaginative thinking. Available only in person (Prague, Brno, Bratislava).

Committed to social responsibility, I dedicate up to six hours per month to NGOs in need. My service can include training, workshop facilitation, or consultation, employing my skills in educational design, project management, and creative engagement to support organisations making a difference.

Something Else?

Maybe you have something else in mind. I am always open to new adventures and exploring uncharted territories. Let's navigate the unknown together.

Filip Gábor - competence development

Game-based approaches can boost learning efficiency by 20%, enhance knowledge gain by 14%, and improve knowledge retention by 9%.

Beyond the numbers, gamification strategies are highly engaging, effective, and resonate deeply with participants, leading to increased emotional investment and perceived value at events.

I can see these facts don’t lie. I have spent over 1,600 hours running workshops with more than 2,000 individual participants combined.
